Dr. Jessica Nicholas

I am delighted to be teaching both French and Spanish at Bloomington High School, as well as serving as Foreign Languages Lead Teacher. Originally from the Seattle area, I earned my Bachelor's degree in French and Spanish and my Master In Teaching degree from Western Washington University. After teaching high school for a couple of years, I moved across the country to continue my education. I earned a second Master's and then a PhD in French Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, then decided to stay in the area and return to high school teaching. I love it here at BHS! In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, translating, sailing, continuing my research, and spending time with my pets.
